CSR Activity – Swaccha Abhiyan was conducted on 23/1/2017 at SIG. The students of Symbiosis Institute Of Geoinformatics were divided in three groups. One group visited Baner – Pashan Biodiversity Park. The second group visited at Polytechnic ground in Model Colony. And the third group visited at SIG Gate – E- Square in Model Colony. The park is constructed to protect the biodiversity near & around the Baner Hill.
The aim of this activity was to increase the awareness of cleanliness and to contribute towards the environment.
The students cleaned the waste material like plastic bottles, bags, polythenes, packets of food stuffs etc. The above mentioned areas got the required boost and a lot of waste material was cleared from the areas.
The students felt extremely happy and satisfied with this activity as they all felt like real social workers on a mission. And they are really contributing something towards the society. The locals present at the spot also thanked the students for their initiative.
This activity was successful and helped sensitize students towards the environment and the students were very happy to do this activity and surely want to visit it the next year.
